Past Pets

Twitch, 2 April 2004 - 8 August 2006
Twitch was a Sapphire Pearl Dwarf Russian Winter White hamster. She came to live with us(with Zoe) in May 2004. She was named after Bean's sister in "The Tale of the Bunny Picnic". She was a very tame and cuddly little hamster.

Bunki, 22 October 2005 - 11 May 2006
We bought Bunki (along with Sesshu) at Aquatic Design Centre on 22 October 2005. Bunki was a shubunkin and was named after an era in Japanese history.

Issy, 11 February 2006 - 30 March 2006
Nessa, 11 February 2006 - 12 April 2006
Issy and Nessa came from a rescue. They're argente Campbell's dwarf hamsters. They're both girls and were very hyper usually. They both had naturally red eyes under normal lighting. We adopted them on 11 February 2006.

Smoke, 10 November 2005 - 29 January 2006
Smoke was from Bourne Valley Hamstery and he was a longhaired sable syrian hamster. We bought him from the South Of England Hamster Club show at Knebworth on the 7 January 2006. His name came from someone remarking he looked like a bundle of smoke in fur format. He sadly passed away despite the best efforts of our vet.

Sesshu, 22 October 2005 - 5 January 2006
We bought Sesshu (along with Bunki) on 22 October 2005. Sesshu was a wonderful goldfish who was named after a painter in the Bunki era of Japanese history.

Saffron, 30 September 2005 - 8 November 2005
Saffron is a "cream" syrian hamster from A.R.C.- Animal Rescue & Care on 30 September 2005. She was found abandoned in a cardboard box near some recycling bins. Because she's full grown and was abandoned, we are unsure of her age. She was incorrectly identifed as male for some reason so when we got her she was named Stuart! She was our little "special case" and she left us just as I was feeling like she was getting to trust us.

Zoe, April 2, 2004 - October 17, 2005
Zoe was part of our pair of Sapphire Pearl Dwarf Russian Winter White hamsters. She was named after Zoe, Elmo's friend on Sesame Street since her and her sister, Twitch, share very puppet/muppet-like faces. She had a long (for a dwarf hamster) happy life and went peacefully in her sleep, next to Twitch.

Bear, November 23, 2003 - September 22, 2005
In November 2003, we adopted Bear from Guinea pig, Bunny, Hamster (etc.) Rescue in South London. He was about 4-5 weeks old when we adopted him.
He was named Bear because he looks like a little black bear cub with his little white chest markings. Heather's first furry pet since moving to the UK.

Valence, October 2001 - August 18, 2005
We bought Valence in October 2001. He was a very friendly and happy fish who loved to follow us around and wiggle happily at us when we waved at him. We miss him lots.
